• Scene From An Italian Restaurant Or perhaps, my kitchen table
• Retaining Wall If you\'ve got one of those yards which sits several feet above street level, you\'re probably familiar with this type of wall. I once owned a house with a retaining wall, but that wall was made of concrete. That wall had less character than these do, plus the whole thing was tilted
• Throw Pillow For certain seasons, this pillow adorns a couch in our living room. Which seasons those might be, I have no idea; not the current season
• Throw Pillow For certain seasons, this pillow adorns a couch in our living room. Which seasons those might be, I have no idea; not this one
• Moonscape A rough landscape, difficult to navigate, and other-worldly; but found on many ceilings
• All In All A decorative brick wall in which the decorative bricks are decoratively arranged to be decorative
• Another Brick In The Wall Decorative brick walls can be, well, decorative
• Pale Bricks Here in Texas, limestone things -- and things which suggest limestone -- are very popular. This suggest limestone only in color, but I still think that\'s the effect for which they were aiming
• Bark, Don\'t Bite Every tree is different, and most are beautiful
• Old Fence
• New Fence
• Patchwork
• Stacked Big blocks of wood, in groups of a dozen
• Small Pieces, Tightly Joined With apologies to David Weinberger, this ain\'t the internet. Instead, it\'s the building next to my office, and believe it or not, the entire building is made of this stuff
• Raindrops Keep Falling On My Car Not my car, actually, since I don\'t own a black car and have never waxed the cars I do own, but a coworker\'s car
• Piles Of Fun Exceedingly expensive carpet covers the floor in our house, even the bathrooms. It\'s off-white, and stained, but since it is nearly the most expensive carpet available at the stores we\'ve checked, we\'re more likely to pull it all up in favor of hardwood floors than actually replace it with the same carpett
• Snoopy\'s Roof At Knott\'s Berry Farm, within Camp Snoopy (for the younger crowd), one of the rides has a lovely shingled roof
• Meringue There is a certain careful technique to making the perfect meringue. It involves the freshest of eggs, just the right amount of whipping, and a steady, practiced, hand. At least that\'s what I tell myself. The alternative is simply that my wife knows what she\'s doing and I don\'t
• Palm Bark San Diego is overflowing with palm trees, but when you\'ve grown up with them your whole life, it\'s hard to even notice them. While on vacation, I forced myself to look at them as a tourist might, and snapped touristy photos
• Well-Weathered Wood Weathered by water from the kitchen sink, at least. I was shooting small objects and using this cutting board as a background when I realized that the cutting board itself provides interesting texture, perfect for a Tuesday, the day of the week on which I tend to post Textures
