$Tooth Fairy I often have trouble explaining how my family approaches subjects such as the Tooth Fairy. My kids know that fairies and Santa and the Easter Bunny aren\'t real, and yet we heartily encourage active imagination, and provide ample fairy goodness around the house and yard. There is no deception, but plenty of fun.When a child loses a tooth (so far, just my oldest has), the tooth is placed in the outstretched hand of this figurine. Overnight, the Tooth Fairy comes and replaces the tooth with four quarters, stacked neatly$
$Kiss Me It is a New Year\'s tradition, to kiss at midnight. I\'m not one to shun tradition, so we popped a movie into the DVD player and waited until just the right moment$
$Ariel I\'ve never been a big fan of The Little Mermaid, the movie, preferring the original story in which the little brat is turned into sea foam as a result of her disobedience. My kids only recently learned (as a result of a preview for The Little Mermaid II) that Ariel doesn\'t turn into sea foam in the movie, so now I guess I\'ll have to rent it so that they can see what blissful joy rebellion can be.In the meantime, this is a very small Ariel doll my daughters have. It\'s small enough that it is apparently difficult to paint on a face that doesn\'t look hideous$
